[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]I love this business. I cannot imagine working in any other field. I cannot even imagine working in any other job in this field other than the one I have. Even with that being said, the following fun observation could be taken for complaining. But it isn’t. Not even close.
In the business of video production there are many factors beyond our control that go into selecting the date for a video shoot. As such, there are always occasions when one date becomes the only date that works for two or more clients. As a business owner who loves to say yes to every client, I am frequently booking two or three major shoots on the same day. Today was one of those days.
I am so lucky to work with such an incredible team of professionals. Because of their willingness to go along with our philosophy of being flexible and creative, and to move around and jump in where they are needed at a moment’s notice, we can do amazing things. Many of our clients appreciate that we can meet a last-minute request, even though they know we prefer to have advanced notice and lots of pre-production.
Today’s shoot at the Northeast Ohio Medical University was great. It was the first shoot set for March 26th. This crew did an outstanding job. The client had a detailed and organized script and plan, and we had several pre-production meetings and planning sessions. On Monday, another great client asked us to produce a video featuring executives at a Fortune 500 company in Cleveland, and today was the day that worked for them. We put together another crew of Mosher Media staff producers and videographers and, as expected, they did a great job. On top of all of that, another crew just wrapped a shoot in our Akron studio for a promotional video all shot on our green screen.
What. A. Fantastic. Day.
That’s how it goes In this business. All of these projects needed to be shot on Wednesday, March 26th. Some had lots of notice and planning, while others just needed to happen now. We spent a lot of time this week packing gear, preparing for shoots, painting the studio, editing other videos, and writing quotes, but today was the day everyone wanted to shoot. No problem! We love it. I am just thankful the Goodyear shoot got rescheduled. They, too, were on the books for Wednesday, March 26, 2014, and even still, had it happened, I am certain this team would have pulled that one off as well.
I love this business.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
